A few thoughts on Larry's blog

A few thoughts on Larry's blog

 Organisation and layout

 Clear and easy to follow.

Ease of use and Navigation Separate sections for different posts. Each post is accompanied by a corresponding image and a very interesting introduction.

Content and features

Including information and guidance on teaching English as a foreign language.

Commercial nature is very strong. Many posts lead the viewer to buy author's books and courses. The texts are interspersed with Amazon links.

Monologue: the comment function is turned off and is not displayed. Turning off comments, while effective in preventing advertising, also creates an information gap between the viewer and the author. The viewer is unable to discuss freely and can not get any review of the purchased course.

Ease of use and Navigation

Simple and easy to follow the navigation.

Articles that have been read will change colour on the front page to make it easier to distinguish.

Target Audience

The target audiences are teachers who need guidance

Summary

First of all, the name and address of the blog should be relevant to the content, it should have a special meaning and be memorable. When designing the pages, the functional partitions have to be clear and the pages should be categorised. The navigation of the blog should be clear and aesthetically pleasing to ensure a good user experience. Finally, the author needs to update the content regularly.

Find your own style, never hestitste to share, and enjoy being a blogger!

  1. A delightful first blog- really constructive- especially the comment about 'comments' being turned off. I like the styling of italics for your input below the subtitles- very pleasant. :)

  2. Hi Leah, This is a good start - your layout is spacious and relaxing! The italic font is friendly and informal looking and contrasts nicely with the bold subheadings. You make a lot of good points about Larry Ferlazzo's blog but you forgot to give a link to it! It's a good idea to embed links in your post so that your reader can quickly see what you are talking about. I like your encouragement at the end of the post to 'find your own style' - definitely a priority! Well done for embedding a video in your post - perhaps a few more pictures or a screenshot from Larry's blog could have illustrated your points effectively. All in all a great first post - keep it up!

  3. The page is neat, with a clear distinction between the subtitles and the content! Really fancy it!

  4. This is a straightforward review of Larry's blog. The reader quickly understands what to expect from the blog. It's good to know that even established bloggers don't always have it all.
